Mr. Mario Heinz, previously Head of Sales at LAEIS GmbH, assumed the position of Managing Director for Commercial and Administrative Management on 1 January 2026. He shares the management responsibilities with Mr. Ralph Lutz, who continues to be responsible for Technology. Mario Heinz succeeds Mr. Horst Schmitt, who will retire on 30 June 2026.
With Mario Heinz, an executive with long-standing, in-depth knowledge of the company and its international markets joins the management team. During his many years as Head of Sales, he has played a key role in shaping LAEIS’s successful market positioning and business development. His extensive experience within global industry networks and his deep understanding of customer requirements will be instrumental in driving the company’s future strategic development.
Mr. Horst Schmitt, who has served as Managing Director of LAEIS GmbH for many years, will step down from his position on 30 June 2026.
Under his leadership, the company has undergone significant technological and organisational advancements and has further strengthened its position as one of the world’s leading manufacturers of hydraulic presses. Until his departure, he will continue to support LAEIS in an advisory capacity.
